Mijn analoge Nikon FE ging ook mee naar Texel. Fotorolletjes ontwikkelen doen ze niet (meer) op het eiland, dus ik moest geduld hebben tot we weer thuis waren. Als ik naar deze foto’s kijk, vind ik het haast bijzonder dat er niet ergens een hobbit of iets wat er op lijkt opduikt, het landschap is zó sprookjesachtig. Hopelijk hadden jullie allemaal een fijn weekend? Wat een schitterende dag vandaag!

I brought my old Nikon FE to Texel, to shoot this fairy-like island on film. Don’t you think it looks just like one of Tolkien’s books? Hope you all had a nice weekend, spring has begun here in Holland!

Hanke’s schitterende foto’s inspireerden me om weer eens met mijn 30 jaar oude analoge camera op pad te gaan. Analoog fotograferen heeft nog steeds mijn hart; het is puur en heeft een bepaalde zachtheid waar ik erg van hou. Samen met Iris, Casper en de kinderen ging ik gisteren de bossen in. We liepen in het waterige zonnetje en voelden dat de lente eraan komt. Heerlijk.

Hanke’s beautiful photo’s inspired me to take my analogue Nikon FE with me for a walk in the woods. I love shooting on film: it has a certain softness I adore. So yesterday, Iris and I went on a walk to the woods. Casper and the kids came along. The sun was drawing water and we felt spring is definitely on it’s way.

Reuzenrad

Ik begon analoog te fotograferen kort nadat ik mijn blog startte. Plaatjes als deze vond ik toen (en nog steeds) te gek, het zijn typische dromerige Lomography-foto’s. Je krijgt dit effect door te werken met een sterk verouderd fotorolletje, deze was eigenlijk houdbaar tot 2005. Lap verder alle fotografie-regels aan je laars en maak bijvoorbeeld gerust (juist!) foto’s recht tegen de zon in, om effecten te krijgen zoals op de laatste foto. Dit reuzenrad stond op de kermis in Antwerpen, ik vind ze altijd wat magisch hebben.

I started with analogue photography short after I started blogging. Photo’s like this really make my heart beat faster, with their bold colors and lots of grain typical Lomography-photo’s. I shot these photo’s with the Nikon FE and expired film. (2005)

zwaan Nikon FE

Vorig weekend waren mijn liefde en ik een weekend ‘kindloos’; Casper’s ouders hadden Wolf en Mus alvast meegenomen naar Zeeland. Deze foto’s maakte ik tijdens een boswandeling. De zwaan zit op een nest, dichterbij dan dit mocht ik (terecht) niet komen.

I took this pics last weekend, during a walk together with my love. Our kids were away to the summerhouse with Casper’s parents, so we had plenty of time to quietly sneak up to the swan, sitting on her nest.
