Bijna lente!

Ik heb het gevoel dat ik zelfs binnen het einde van de winter kan voelen. Kan niet wachten tot de tuindeuren weer open kunnen en we buiten kunnen lunchen. Deze week legden onze kippen hun eerste na-winterse ei! (zoek de kip op de onderste foto)

Can’t wait for spring to come so we can open the doors to our garden and have lunch in the sun. This week we ate the first egg from our chicken. (find one of our chicken on the photo below)

Zo, de hectische week is ten einde. (dat is blessing nr. 1!) Casper en ik sloten deze week fijn af met sushi en True Blood op de bank, zoals te zien is op de laatste foto. Verder werd ik blij van slapende poes Curry en van alle mooie, goede spullen die Steve Jobs voor ons maakte. Met een inmiddels vrij bekende quote van Steve Jobs wens ik jullie een positieve, rustige nieuwe week toe, waarin we ons bewust zijn van alles wat we hebben, zowel in immaterieel als materieel opzicht.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Casper and I had sushi and watched True Blood to celebrate the end of this week. It was so busy and stressful it almost made me scream. Sleeping cat Curry made me smile and so did Steve Jobs’ quote. (as seen above) Wish you all the best for the new week!

Het is heerlijk hier in Zeeland, maar ik verlang naar wit en felle kleuren. Ik merk dat ik ze bewust, maar ook onbewust, om me heen verzamel. De schoentjes, maat 20, kocht ik voor 0.50 in de Zeeuwse kringloopwinkel. (oh, ik hou van die winkel. Ze kennen me er al, best genant. Maar dat de Zeeuwen zúúnig zijn en dingen lang bewaren, is gebleken. Wat een schatten daar!) Casper kreeg de Toet- en Taartkalender voor zijn verjaardag gisteren, hij werd 33. De papieren bloem is van Artechnica, het zakdoekje, een ‘loopneusveger’, werd ontworpen door Laurence Kalman.
Ben trouwens bezig met een grote blog-makeover. Nieuwe header, nieuwe knoppen. To be continued…

It’s lovely here at sea, but I’m longing for white and bright colors. Shoes 0.50 euro at the local thriftstore, which I totally adore. In the Netherlands is told that the people in this region keep their stuff for ages and that’s true; the thriftstore holds so much treasures! Yesterday Casper turned 33 and the ‘Toet- en Taartkalender, a calender with recipes for deserts, was his present. The paper flower is from Artechnica. I’m working on a huge blog-makeover, more to come…
